Long Island Fair
The Long Island Fair, presented annually by the Agricultural Society of Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties Inc., celebrates Long Island’s agricultural heritage and is a unique, family-friendly event. It features displays of home-grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, crafts, and livestock, as well as entertainment, historic trade demonstrations, an artisan craft show, and more.
Visit www.lifair.org for more information.
Powell Farm
The Powell farmhouse, dating from 1750, is the only structure originally located at the Village. The Powell farm is a working barnyard complex with animals, barns, pastures, and an apple and pear orchard. Stocked with authentic tools, kitchen, and household items, the furnishings within the house reflect the long generations of ownership by the Powell family. Only a short distance from the house, the pig pen has been restored on the site of its original stone floor.
Independence Day
Join us for the ultimate old-fashioned Independence Day celebration with the Village parade, historical demonstrations, military drills, dancing, and martial music performances by the Old Bethpage Brass Band. Patriotic tributes and speeches, including a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, will make this a 4th of July to remember.
Old Time Music Weekends
A celebration of popular music of the Civil War period, with performances by The Old Bethpage Brass Band and 19th-century musical stylists. You can learn authentic dance steps and hear classic American music in an authentic historic setting.
Military Timeline
An historical encampment dedicated to the fighting soldiers over the centuries. A military timeline with reenactors marching through history of military events from the centuries with the demonstrations of the life and times of the common solider.

Haunted Halloween
The village’s Haunted Halloween weekends return in October with safe trick-or-treating, a children’s costume parade and contest with prizes, music and dancing, and plenty of festive fun. On Saturday, enjoy a special marionette puppet show retelling The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Throughout the weekend, meet the Grim Reaper and take in the spooky spirit of the season amid the colorful fall scenery of Old Bethpage Village Restoration.
Candlelight Evenings
During our Candlelight Evenings, you can experience a rare evening visit to the village in winter. Enjoy 19th-century musical entertainment, hot drinks, and festive activities as you stroll through a village ablaze with light, with candles glowing in the windows of homes and buildings. It will be an enchanting evening to live in your memory.
Old Time Baseball
It’s time to enjoy the great American pastime in a perfect pastoral setting. “Old-time” Baseball is played with authentic 1860s-era bats, balls, and uniforms, governed by the era’s peculiar game rules. Games take place every Sunday during the season at the baseball field, in the northern end of the village next to the Schenck House & Barn.
